29/10/10: NE3 with some cloud. Whilst some Thrushes and Finches were seen moving early morning there was no repeat of yesterday’s Hawfinch movement. Found another Red-breasted Flycatcher along the Central Track where the Pallas’s Rosefinches were still present and a/the Treecreeper was seen. Tsukasa still played host to the Siberian Chiffchaff and the 2 Long-tailed Rosefinches were still nearby. A number of species reached their peak daily numbers including 12 Rufous Turtle Doves, 40 Goldcrests, 100 Japanese White-Eyes and 80 Elegant Buntings. A pair of Japanese Bullfinches at the southern tip of the island proved an evening surprise.
